the police/mental health coordination project

Police, mental health professionals, peers and advocates working together.

The Coordinator

The Police/Mental Health Coordination Project, a program of Crisis Services, began in January of 1990 as a collaboration between key representatives from law enforcement agencies, emergency mental health services, psychiatric hospitals, the legal community, consumers, and local and state government in Buffalo and Erie County, NY.

The PMHCP strives to create and develop the community response and to serve as the forum for ongoing discussion of emergency mental health concerns for all of Erie County.
